Arizona Governor's Award
Arizona Governor's AwardIn 1993 Zarco received Arizona's highest and most prestigious award - The Governor's Award. This distinguished honor was “In recognition of Significant Contributions to the Arts of Arizona.” Specifically for his many years as a community arts advocate, an arts educator and the founder of the non profit Artist Coalition known as Xicanindio Artes, Inc. Since then Zarco has continued his activism in our state by founding Cultural Coalition.com and being part of the newly formed ALAC - Advocates for Latin@ Arts and Culture Consortium.
