Zarco Guerrero: A Mask Maker’s Legacy

I’m excited to announce the most important exhibition of my artistic career to date – Zarco Guerrero: A Mask Maker’s Legacy!

This exhibit will showcase a collection that encompasses my 50 year professional career, including various mediums such as bronze, woodcarving, puppets, installations and of course MASKS!

My work has taken me across the world, to lands such as Mexico, Brazil, Japan, and Indonesia – where I’ve had the honor to work with many master carvers who have shared their ancient traditions and wisdom with me. Now it is time for me to share these artistic gifts with my friends, family and comunidad in my hometown of Mesa, Az.

Please mark your calendars to join us in celebration of this retrospective of my artwork at the Mesa Arts Center. Opening Friday, September 11th, on display until January 24, 2027.
